Neighbor's House

Luckily, my next door neighbor's house was falling apart.

Destruction

Always fun to watch,  The whole street came to see the destruction.

Pile

The pile lasted too long, but once gone the soil was tilled and shifted for any final debris and 12 cubic Yards of 50/50 topsoil and mushroom compost was used to cover the garden. Finally a  cover crop was planted late summer until spring to build up the soil for spring.

Garden

Keeping soil nutrient rich is a problem.  The soil was covered for 80 years, but with the stump grounds I receive from Bushwackers 2, the winter cover crop,  and the soil mix from Lawn Ventures the garden  has thrived .  All plant material, including grass clippings from our chemical free lawn,  on our property is composited for the garden.
